What projects are eligible for funding?

The FIJI Water Foundation awards the majority of its grants to non-government, not-for-profit, and grassroots organizations and programmes benefiting communities in Fiji. We welcome applications for projects which are in line with our priority goals of:
  • Improving access to and quality of health care
  • Improving access to and quality of education
  • Implementing infrastructure projects that improve the quality of life such as water projects

In deciding how best to focus our resources, we look for projects that:
  • Address inequities in neglected areas
  • Produce measurable and sustainable results
  • Promote community stewardship
  • Encourage collaboration between local government, private-sector, and not-for-profit partners
  • Act as catalysts for continued growth and change
  • Favor preventative approaches
  • Build upon our current project strategies

If your project proposal is inline with our goals, follow this link to Apply for Funding

Not Eligible for Funding

Alternatively, we will not support applications for projects
  • For work that has already taken place
  • For beneficiaries outside Fiji
  • For government percentage schemes (1/3: 2/3)
  • For fundraising events, receptions, or trips
  • For advertising or “awareness campaigns”
  • From sporting organizations
  • From individuals
  • From political groups
  • From commercial organizations, or those seeking “sponsorship”
  • From organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, gender, beliefs, class, or culture
