How does an organization or community apply for funding?
We ask that all applicants submit a completed application form along with documents required below and any other supplimentary documents or information.We accept proposals year round. Our board meets twice a year to deliberate and select projects which meet our funding criteria. Our funds usually become available in February and September.
Applications will be reviewed and recommended projects will be presented to our foundation’s board semi-annually for approval.
Appplications for funding for 2010 have closed, however we will continue receiving applications for projects to be implemented in 2011.
Deadline for submissions for the 2011 cycle close in January 2011.
Funding for applications submitted for this cycle will be made available in September 2010.
Funding submitted for the 2011 cycle will be made available in March 2011.
Your proposal should include the following:
- Completed application form A-E (including timeline and budget)
- Stated 25% community contribution in cash or kind
- 2-3 Quotations from local retailers for materials required
- Letter of support from relevant landowner, community leader, government, or regulatory authority
- All new building projects should include a blue print and materials list approved by the local health inspector
